Visibility
Visibility within the Crafti Portal is crucial for games and experiences seeking to attract a larger fraction of the Crafti Community.
To enhance their visibility ranking, games and experiences compete for the stakes of both Owners (VRC NFTs) and Players (Winning NFTs). Each staking period begins with a visibility ranking determined by the Staking Weight assigned to each game, based on the total stakes it receives. This weight influences the game’s position within Craftiverse. For each staking period the Staking Weight, and thus the game's position, may change, allowing titles to evolve dynamically and potentially advance toward high-traffic “hotspots” within the Portal.
Games and experiences with the highest Staking Weight for a given staking period earn the prestigious status of Winning Games. This status grants them the right to distribute Winning NFTs to top-performing Players on their leaderboards, enabling active Players to participate in the next staking round. This dynamic process empowers Players to influence the future visibility of games, creating an interactive loop of community-driven growth.
The Staking Weight of each game or experience is calculated from all stakes placed on it. A VRC staked for a single period adds a base Weight of 1. If it is staked for multiple staking periods, it adds an higher value to the Weight. The exact value is determined by a custom Staking Function f_s(#Periods, #VRCs, ...), which is always larger than 1. The Staking Function depends on factors such as the number of staking periods, the quantity of VRCs staked simultaneously, and other criteria that may evolve over time. Similarly, the Weight of Winning NFTs is governed by another function f_w - the so called Winning Function. Both the Staking and Winning functions are designed to adapt dynamically in response to community feedback and the evolving needs of the Crafti ecosystem.
To support new entries in the Crafti Portal, special visibility is granted to games and experiences as they debut. These new titles will enjoy Winning Game status for a set number of staking periods, providing them with an initial boost to cultivate a dedicated Player community before they become independently positioned within the broader Craftiverse landscape.
